Future Olympian?

Abby has been taking a gymnastics class for a couple
of months now. She loves it. It is so fun to see
her coordination get better. She has about 8 other girls in
her class and they are all aged 4-6. Some days I
feel sorry for her coach!!! It is quite fun to watch her.
Emma is even trying her had and gymnastics.

Snow Bunnies

On Saturday we had the first real snow of the winter
and the girls were so excited that they had to go
right out and play. It was a freezing day, and the
wind was blowing, but that didn't stop them.

How cute!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so fun this year. It was filled with family, fun, food, games, fire, guns, food, and more fun. Some of my family made the drive to Malad this year and we had a great time. The cousins thought that life in the country was great. We went exploring, on motorcycle rides, shot guns, built a "small" fire with all of our weeds, played games and most of all we ate! This could be that start of a new tradition.

My Big Girl

Wow how the time flies. I can not believe that my little girl has turned 5! She was so happy to have her birthday finally get here. She has a Princess Tea Party with a few of her friends from school. When she woke up the morning of her birthday she came right to me and said "Mommy I'm 5 now do I get to go to Kindergarten today?" The disappointment of not getting to go to school that day was quickly replaced by the excitement of the party. She is such a blessing in my life. I am so grateful that she is my "snuggle bug".

Family Fun

We were finally able to make a quick trip to Boise to see family. And boy did we have a lot of fun in just a couple of days!!! The kids always love to go to Boise and just play and get wild with the cousins and grandparents. It is hard to be so far away. But it does make those trips home so much fun. Emma is still talking about Lizzy and Papa!! Abby wants to know when we can go back.

The Great Pumpkin

What would Halloween be without Jack O' Lanterns?

Surprise!!!

We were outside working on the wood pile, trying to get it all in for winter, when I saw the cats trying so hard to get at something under some of the wood. When I went over to investigate, this is what I had found!! A mommy mouse built a nest in our wood pile and had some babies. At first I wanted to help these babies, just look how helpless they are (they are only 24hrs old). But Troy reminded me that they will grow up to be adults and then they will have babies and those will have babies...Then I remembered why I got cats in first place.

Big Girl Bed

Well we finally made the switch. Emma has a big girl bed now. It is the newest "toy" in the house. The girls love to get in it together and just play. She doen't evet try to escape at night. They get so big so fast!!

Lagoon 08

So the Quirl clan all got together and went to Lagoon for one last hurrah this summer. It was so fun to turn into a kid again and be excited about all of the rides. The girls had so much fun. Abby was big enough this year to go on some of the adult rides and she was a pro. Emma didn't care what ride she went on, just that she could go was enough for her. Sari, Derek and Lon went on the big swing... and they all survived.

Birthday Girl

Here is Emma on her second birthday. She thought that blowing out the candles was so much fun that she had to do it 3 times. She had so much fun and as you can see she thought that opening her presents was also great!!

The hair cut

Well I finally did it. I cut Abby's hair. She has been the one who wants to keep it long. But it was always a fight getting her to brush it. And forget about doing it, even getting a ponytail in her hair was a fight. So I told her if she threw one more fit about her hair we were going to cut it off. That worked for about a day and then one Sunday morning I got out my scissors... She cried with the first couple of snips and then when we were all done and she got to look at it in the mirror she thought it was OK. But when it only took a couple of minutes to curl it for church she thought that her new hair was just great.
